Journal History
ASEANPOLIS: Southeast Asian Journal of Policy, Society, and Development was established in 2026 as a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarship on the interconnected dynamics of society, public policy, governance, education, public health, and development in Southeast Asia. Since its inception, ASEANPOLIS has been designed as an interdisciplinary platform that brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to strengthen evidence-based discourse and encourage comparative perspectives across Southeast Asian countries. The journal was founded to respond to the growing need for rigorous and accessible research that not only contributes to academic debates, but also offers practical insights for policy design and implementation in the region.
