DESA: Journal of Rural Development and Governance was established in 2026 as an academic platform dedicated to advancing critical and interdisciplinary scholarship on rural development and local governance. Since its founding, the journal has been committed to peer-reviewed publishing, open access principles, and ethical academic practices to support inclusive, evidence-based, and policy-relevant knowledge production that strengthens rural institutions and promotes sustainable community development.
